The 2003 Tigers finished the season as the BCS National Champions giving Head Coach Nick Saban his first Natty. The team's only loss on the year was to Florida in the first half of the season. This was a debated championship as it predated the playoff system and #1 USC also claimed the title after beating #4 Michigan as well.
